To increase the rank of your website, you need to do a good and professional SEO, search engine optimization. It can be done in two ways, on-page, and off-page. Here we provide basic on-page SEO staps. Follow the below steps for a better ranking in search engines.

Basic On-page SEO:

1. You need to start publishing relevant, unique quality content:

Quality content is the most important factor for search engine rankings, and there is no substitute for good content. Quality content created specifically for the users you are targeting will increase traffic, which in turn will increase the capacity and value of your site. Improve your online writing skills.

Think about how your reader might search for that particular site (using phrases such as “food in FL,” “best song app,” or “top colleges in FL”). Then, repeat that phrase several times throughout the site: once or twice at the beginning and end of a paragraph and only two or four times throughout the rest of the content.

2. Update your content regularly:

Remember to use bold, italics, headings especially H1 and other emphasis tags to highlight keywords, but don’t over-optimize it. You still need to be able to clearly define your language and writing style. Never sacrifice good copy for the sake of SEO. The best websites are written for the consumer, not the search engine.

You’ve probably noticed that people value content. So do search engines. Regularly updated articles are considered one of the best indicators of a website’s relevance, so make sure they are always current.

3. Meta Tags:

When creating a website, each page includes a space between the tags to hold metadata or information about the content of the site. If you have a website in a CMS, the CMS web team has already filled in this information for you:

Title Meta:

Title metadata is responsible for the page titles that appear at the top of the browser window and as the title in search engine results. This is the most important metadata for your page. For those who have a website on a CMS, the online team has developed an automated system to create meta titles for each page.

Meta Description:

Think of it as your website’s storefront: a brief and compelling description of the content, intended to draw visitors to the site. A good meta description is usually two full sentences. Search engines may not always apply your meta description, but it’s important to offer them an alternative.

Meta Keywords:

Keyword metadata is rarely if ever, used to calculate search engine rankings. But you should already know your keyword phrases, so there is nothing wrong with including them in your keyword metadata. You should include many different phrases. A good example would be “wordpress web development services.”

Use descriptive links on your website rather than “click here” CTAs:

Focus on creating relevant links in the text. Instead of “click here” or “visit here” links, write the name of the destination. “Click here” has no value to the search engine other than the URL of the link, whereas “top colleges in FL” contains keywords and will improve your search engine ranking as well as the ranking of the page you are linking to. Always use descriptive hyperlinks linking to keywords: this not only improves search engine optimization but also adds value to your viewers, such as people with disabilities or those who use screen readers.

Use alt tags:

Always describe your images/graphics with alt tags or other text descriptions. They help search engines find your site, which can be especially important for people who use text-only browsers or screen readers.

To gain high traffic and want to gain a good response, make your site mobile-friendly and full of quality, speedy sites, as well as uniqueness.

If you’re serious about search engine optimization, you shouldn’t jump from one SEO strategy to another and hope they show up at the top of Google searches. Once you find a good tactic, you need to develop a strategy and stick with it over time if you want to see results.
